2012 Timeline
February 1 : The 2012 Plein Air: Easton! Prospectus is released.
March 2: Submission Deadline.
March 23: Announcement of Competition Artists.
July 15: Artists arrive, register, and have all competition canvases stamped.
July 16-19: Artists paint.
July 20: Collectors' Preview Party at the Academy
Art Museum opens to ticketed collectors at 7pm. There is a preview hour
for artists and spouses with voting for an Artists’ Choice Award
beginning at 6pm. Awards announced at 7:45pm.
2012 Competition Awards: Check back in the spring.
July 20 thru 22: Exhibit continues and sold paintings will be replaced with other work from that artist.
July 21: Quick Draw: Any artist has the option to register and participate in a Quick Draw competition on Saturday, July 21, 2012, beginning at 10am.
Quick Draw Awards: Check back in the spring.
July 22: Winners' Paint-Out & Brunch: Artists who win awards (including quick draw) are asked to participate in the paint-out and live auction at a lovely private waterfront estate, during the Brunch on Sunday morning. All competition artists are invited to attend the Brunch and Auction as the competition’s guests.
July 22: Quick Draw: The Next Generation: open to ages 21 & under.
