Fifty-eight of the top plein air artists have traveled to Easton, Maryland to compete for over $30,000 in cash prizes and the opportunity to capture the timeless beauty of the Eastern Shore.  Plein air painters paint from life adding the challenge of changing light to the act of creating meaningful art. On July 14th, festival organizers and PAE volunteers will stamp the backs of their blank canvases.  By the end of the week the artists will turn in nearly 600 fresh paintings for exhibtion and sale. July 19th and 20th, artists are free to choose subject matter anywhere in the town of Easton.
