Andy Evanson Watercolor Plein Air Workshop
"There seems to be a never-ending quest for water color painters to 'loosen up'. However, to paint loosely you have to have confidence in your abilities and a willingness to let go of details, two things that are hard to come by. In my workshop, we'll discuss ways to simplify a scene into larger shapes that will help you paint more boldly. Value studies are emphasized from the outset. I will complete at least one demonstration painting each day, covering topics such as drawing, skies, trees, buildings, water, and figures. By the end of the class each student should have enough information to help them on their path to painting impressionistic watercolors."
Workshop cost is $425; March 20 demo only cost is $35. Please register via the Chesapeake Fine Art Studio website, chesapeakefineartstudio.com.
