The First Annual Cambridge Pre-Competition Paint Out

Cambridge invites you to our delightful small town on Maryland's Eastern Shore to expand your plein air experience as a part of Plein Air Easton!  A look at Facebook and CambridgeMainStreet.com will give you a glimpse of our pretty, diverse, colorful, charming town.

Cambridge is situated near the broad mouth of the Choptank River so you will find marinas, bridges, workboats, sailboats and, often, much larger vessels.  Many little arms of water flow into the town to create small water venues that are full of character.  An old town, there are lots of historic buildings here and in one area of town you will find rows of cookie-cutter homes that were once inhabited by the families of watermen and cannery-workers.

There will be a welcome center at Elliott's Bakery on 429 Race St. where members of the Wednesday Morning Artists of Cambridge will greet the participating artists from 6am until 10am. A lunch will follow at Snapper's Waterfront Café at 112 Commerce St with an exhibit and sale of the day's paintings from 12pm -2pm. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and chat with the artists and view their work created in downtown Cambridge.
