David Grafton Exhibition: Haiku in Pastel, Land, Water, Sky
The show "David Grafton: Haiku in Pastel, Land, Water, Sky" will be opening July 11th, Friday from 5-8 pm during art walk. David is an accomplished pastel artist winning many awards for his work. David's current work is of a series of pastels influenced by the Japanese art poetry of haiku. He has created a series of small and large paintings based on Land, Water and Sky with the idea of calling forth nature at its best with a deeper meaning just like in haiku poetry. This is also found within these pastel images David is creating. These new pieces of art take you to a new place beyond the painted image to the thoughtful, introspective and sensitive response to the landscape.
Please stop by the Grafton Galleries during our open hours to see Mr. Grafton's new works of art. One will be moved and motivated by his new out pouring of David's for the American Landscape.
