The Local Color Art Show & Competition, sponsored by The Working Artists Forum, will be held Friday, July 17th - Sunday, July 19th, in conjunction with The Plein Air Easton Art Festival. This is the eleventh year for the juried and judged art show. Local Color will feature paintings by artists representing the Delmarva Peninsula. The show judge this year is John Brandon Sills, Plein Air Easton’s 2014 Grand Prize Winner with his painting, Meditation. Local Color is juried this year by Tim Bell, the 2014 second place winner of the Plein Air Easton Competition with his painting, Chicken Point.

The Working Artists Forum also hosts five free art demonstrations, located in The Rose Room at The Tidewater Inn. Five of the winning plein air artists from the previous year’s Plein Air Easton Competition present the live painting demonstrations. During the show, a number of Local Color artists, painting en plein air, will be out on the street around the Tidewater Inn.

Proceeds from Local Color help to fund The Working Artists Forum's educational program for art classes in local schools. The WAF is an organization consisting of painters working in one or more medium. Professional expertise of its membership is fostered through programs, group critiques, demonstrations, workshops, and member exhibitions.
