Capture the fleeting autumn light along the beautiful Eastern Shore as you learn to simplify your design and build those important color relationships. Emphasis will include the massing of shapes, values, edges and brushwork, working directly wet into wet, on location and completing a study in one session. In case of inclement weather, you will have the opportunity to use reference materials in the studio. Known for her impressionist approach to color and light, Valerie loves sharing her knowledge with her students. In 2011 she was awarded second place at Plein Air Easton, and received the Artist’s Choice Award at the 2010 Plein Air Easton competition. Workshop is open to all levels.
