After receiving a BA in Fine Art from Towson State University, John studied Renaissance Art in Florence, Italy and the Schuler School of Fine Art. His awards include Best Painting by a MD Artist Award at PAE 2010 and 2012 as well as the Artist Choice Award in 2010. He won first place at the Havre de Grace Plein Air Competition in 2010 and 2011. John paints nature in all its forms choosing to emphasize those aspects that create an awareness of the environment and places a high value on the inspiration behind the creation of the piece.
