Small Painting Sunday Exhibit & Sale
This is the first and only chance to see a brand new exhibit of small 6x8 paintings that have been created by competing artists. Insider tip: get here early (the line starts forming before the doors open at 10am), buy your favorite paintings (this is your last chance before the exhibit closes) and stay for the Judge's talk at 2pm.
As the competition artwork collectively seemed to get larger and larger over the years, we launched Small Painting Sunday in 2017. For this event, the competition artists are required to paint one additional artwork on a small 6” x 8” canvas. These treasured gems are hidden away until the unveiling and sale on the final day of the festival. These small treasures will be judged by competition judge, Nancy Tankersley who will present a set of awards exclusively for these artworks.
Insider advice: If you like it, buy it! There is no extended display of artwork produced during this week and after the judge's talk, any unsold artwork is packed up and will return home with their respective artist. Since its launch, Small Painting Sunday has sold 90-100% of the paintings you'll see on display for this short window of time.
