Alice Laputka's award winning paintings are defined by strong color and beautiful compositions. She paints both representational and abstract pastels and acrylics.

Laputka has had over a dozen solo exhibitions and has exhibited in over two hundred regional, national and international juried competitions. Her paintings are in numerous corporate and private collections throughout the United States.

The 2017 North Light book, Art Journey: Abstract Painting features one of Laputka's abstract paintings, Autumn Magic #4 on page 92 with an interview on page 93.

The Pastel Journal did an eight page feature article on Laputka's work in the October 2012 issue and selected one of her pastels, Across the Valley, for the cover. Her paintings have also been featured in Pastel Artist International Magazine, International Artist Magazine, and the Artist's Magazine as well as Rockport Publishers The Best of Acrylic Painting and other books.

A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts), Laputka's background includes print design, television graphics, animated film work and teaching.

She has been represented by galleries in Santa Fe, NM; Taos, NM; San Antonio, TX; Scottsdale, AZ, Estes Park, CO; Cheyenne, WY; Haver de Grace, MD and Monkton, MD.

Laputka has done editing and writing for the Pastel Society of America where she holds signature member status. She has been inducted into the Master Circle of the International Association of Pastel Societies and is a signature member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Knickerbocker Artists, and the Philadelphia Water Color Society.  She is currently newsletter editor for the Martin Artisans Guild in Martin County, FL.

Laputka spent a good part of four years renovating, moving into and sorting out her new studio in Pennsylvania so her show schedule was reduced for a while. She has moved the majority of her studio to Florida where she resides most of the year. She teaches classes and workshops called "The Three C's - Color, Composition and Creativity" in both Florida and Pennsylvania. She is also writing a book on her class lessons.
