Nationally recognized artist Carolyn Hesse-Low graduated from University of California and continued her training at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Her paintings have been shown in over 150 museum exhibitions and in countless galleries and art institutes nationally. She has been selected to paint in plein air invitational and juried events throughout the country.

Carolyn's work has been the cover feature for PleinAir Magazine and has also been featured in Southwest Art, American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur and Art of the West magazines. Her work appears in several books, including California Light: A Century of Landscapes; Painting California: Seascapes and Beachtowns; and Land of Sunlight: Paintings of San Diego County. Her work has received numerous awards, including Best of Show at Coos Art Museum and Best of Show at San Luis Obispo Art Museum, Best Studio Landscape Award from PleinAir Salon, Publisher’s Choice Award from PleinAir Magazine, and Award of Excellence at Plein Air Southwest Salon. 

Carolyn Hesse-Low is a Signature Member of American Society of Marine Artists, American Impressionist Society, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, National Watercolor Society, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Outdoor Painters Society. She is an Artist Member of the California Art Club. Her work is represented in national and international collections.
