Peoples’ stories have always engaged my love of history and personal life experiences. Old working farms and pastoral vistas beckon me to stop. They pull at my heart.

My love of drawing began as a child with a sketchbook in hand walking the towpath where I grew up in Lumberville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Later, I discovered watercolor painting and its lovely translucent, expressive qualities. The tactile quality of working on beautiful papers and the integration of my pencil drawings with the paints is a perfect fit for telling my stories.
The rural farm community of Upper Bucks County is a major focus of my work and I return frequently to my favorite farms to paint and draw. The changing seasons with their colors and textures offer new discoveries. Stories are revealed and I am compelled to capture them.
