Eastern Shore Conservation Center: Reception, Exhibit and Sale
Plein Air Painters of the Chesapeake Bay Exhibit at Eastern Shore Conservation Center
The Plein Air Painters of the Chesapeake Bay (PAPCB) are pleased to invite the public to a reception for an exhibit of recent Plein Air works on First Friday, July 6, 2018, from 5-8 pm, at the Eastern Shore Conservation Center. Participating artists include Nancy Thomas, Diane Stoecker, Sheryl Southwick, Maggii Sarfaty, Brad Ross, Jim Rehak, Kate Quinn, Diane DuBois Mullaly, Brian McKenna, Wendy Johnston, Kathy Ellis and Diana Dardis. Meet and greet the artists; and enjoy wine with lite fare and live music by Justin Ryan in the courtyard. A portion of proceeds from the sale of paintings will be donated to the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy. The exhibit continues through July 31, 2018.
PAPCB started in April 2014 when four local artists began painting outdoors together on Tuesdays. Now, PAPCB has more than 50 members and organizes plein air paint outs every Tuesday mid-March thru June, and September thru mid-November. Like the landscape, PAPCB goes dormant during the coldest and hottest months. Painters with all levels of experience in any medium are welcome. Membership is free and the only requirement is to attend the paint outs and paint! For more info contact Kate Quinn.
