The Working Artists Forum Releases Prospectus
14th Annual Local Color Art Show & Sale
Plans are underway for the 14th Annual Local Color Art Show & Sale, sponsored by The Working Artists Forum. The show dates are Friday, July 20th - Sunday July 22nd at Easton's Tidewater Inn, held in conjunction with The Plein Air Easton Art Festival. The three day event offers collectors an exceptional opportunity to view and purchase beautiful original art created in studio or en plein air by 42 working artists from around the Eastern Shore.
Local Color is juried and judged by winners of the previous year’s Plein Air Easton Festival. The show judge this year is Joe Gyurcsak, Grand Prize Winner of Plein Air Easton, 2017. Local Color is juried this year by Hai-Ou Hou, Second Place Winner of Plein Air Easton, 2017.
The prospectus/call to artists is online at workingartistsforum.com. Delmarva artists wishing to apply for Local Color will register on the website between January 26th and the deadline of March 9th. The prospectus will also be emailed to previously participating artists. Please email glovier@comcast.net if you haven't participated in the past to be added to our standing email list.
Proceeds from Local Color help to fund The Working Artists Forum's educational program for art classes in local public schools. The WAF is an organization of painters working in one or more medium. Professional expertise of its membership is fostered through programs, group critiques, demonstrations, workshops, and member exhibitions. Pro bono work for the community is encouraged.
