Over a six day period, 58 juried artists will paint throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland and select their two best works to exhibit and compete for thousands of dollars in prizes.  Enjoy the company of friends, wine, food and conversation with the participating artists.  The Collectors' Preview Party offers the first opportunity to see the entire competition show. 

This year the Academy Art Museum will once again serve as the home for the i.g. Burton Competition Galleries  and will also host the Winners Gallery in its performing arts room.  The Waterfowl Festival Armory directly across South Street will be used for the Library Exhibition and Sale for the display and sale of additional works by the competition artists as it was last year.  Competition Paintings including the award winners and sold pieces will remain on display  at the Academy throughout the weekend. 

The Armory will be used as the venue for the awards ceremony, the “library” paintings, and for the Judge's Talk on Sunday at noon.  For the first time, in addition to the 2 competition paintings all Plein Air Easton competing artist will be required to produce one 6"x8" painting which will only be avaiable on Sunday.
