If you are under 18 and want to participate in a plein air painting competition designed just for you, we encourage you take part in our Next Generation Competition.
To participate you must register and have your blank canvas stamped (any size, shape will do). This stamp proves that your artwork was created during the timeframe. Then head out and paint from life! You can paint anything that inspires you and use any medium you want from pen & ink to acrylics to oil paints. Frame or matt your work and think about a title. Add a good sales price for your work (just like the Plein Air Easton Competition painters have to). Submit your artwork at the Avalon Theatre Lobby for judging no later than 12pm on Sunday. Don’t forget to tell your friends and family to see your work as part of this awesome exhibition! Finally, attend the awards ceremony. The judge this year is Dan Weiss, President, and CEO of the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York City, one of the most amazing art museums in the whole world! He will choose award-winning paintings in two categories (11 and under and 12-18 years old). Have some fun and get inspired - don’t miss your chance to paint, sell and win.
Need supplies? For $30 you can purchase a registration and art kit that has all you need to hit the streets, paint, frame, and submit your work. Supply kits are available while supplies last in the Avalon Theatre lobby.
