Denise Dumont Is a painter drawn to the landscapes and cityscapes of the Atlantic Coast. She studied at the School of Visual Arts and Art Students League in New York and received her BFA from Parsons School of Design.

Her influences are rooted in the art of the 19th and 20th centuries, from the American Impressionist colonies of Cos Cob and Long Island's East End to the French Nabis Post-Impressionists, especially Édouard Vuillard.
