Mike Rada

Mike Rada has been pursuing his love of art his entire life and has been painting as a full-time occupation since 2001. Mike has a keen appreciation for the natural landscape as it challenges him to convey the emotions it so powerfully offers while creating positive images that invite the viewer into the picture. 

In this day of hyper-speed and cyberspace, Mike takes the phrase “…stop and smell the roses” very literally.  For him, taking a photo isn’t enough.  He understands that painting allows the excuse to pause at a scene, interact with and study its beauty for as long as necessary.   

Mike has traveled throughout the United States painting the surrounding scenery and he appreciates the unique character each location provides. In addition to painting, Mike loves to share his passion for art through teaching classes and workshops.  He also enjoys aviation and is enthralled by anything that flies.

Mike resides in St. Paul, Minnesota with his wife and two children.
