Calling the Next Generation of Artists
If you’ve got a young artist in your life, summer is the perfect time to nurture that creativity—and there’s no better place to do it than at the Plein Air Easton Summer Camps.
Each year, Plein Air Easton transforms the town into a vibrant, open-air studio, filled with world-class painters, inspiring landscapes, and a community that celebrates art at every level. For young creatives, it’s not just something to observe—it’s something they can be part of.
A Full Immersion for Young Artists (Grades 5–8)
The Plein Air Easton Summer Camp offers students entering grades 5–8 a unique, hands-on opportunity to step directly into the festival experience. Running July 13–17 from 9am–3pm, this camp is designed to give budding artists real exposure to the world of plein air painting.
Throughout the week, students will:
- Receive daily instruction from experienced artists
- Paint outdoors, learning to capture light, color, and movement in real time
- Connect with professional competition painters
- Experience what it’s like to be part of a major art festival
- Exhibit—and even sell—their own work
It’s an incredible chance for young artists to build skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what it means to create art from life.
A Creative Start for Little Artists (K–2)
Have an even younger artist at home? The Mini Monet plein air–inspired art program is specially designed for children entering kindergarten through 2nd grade.
This half-day camp introduces little ones to the magic of Plein Air Easton in a playful, engaging way. Campers are immersed in a world of creativity, where they’ll explore art through a variety of hands-on activities, including:
- Model Magic sculpting
- Drawing and painting
- Visits to local galleries
- Interactions with plein air artists
Most importantly, kids will begin to understand the joy of creating art inspired by the world around them. Weather permitting, each day includes time spent outside, making their own “plein air” creations and connecting with nature through art.
Don’t Wait—Spots Are Limited
Both programs offer something truly special: a chance for young artists to be part of something bigger, to learn from professionals, and to see themselves as real artists in a thriving creative community.
Registration is open now—but space is limited. If you’ve been looking for a meaningful, enriching summer experience for the young artist in your life, this is it.
