I love these themed exhibitions. Each artist offers a different way of seeing the Eastern Shore's protected forests and landscapes—morning light slipping through towering pines, winding paths disappearing into the woods, the stillness that settles over a stand of trees at day's end. Together, they become a portrait not just of a place, but of the value of protecting it.

Congratulations to Tim Kelly, who received First Place, Julia Rogers, who earned Second Place, and Ken DeWaard, who was awarded Third Place. Their work stood out in an exhibition filled with extraordinary paintings, each one inviting viewers to slow down, look closer, and remember what makes these landscapes so special.
