Save the date for the 23rd Annual Plein Air Easton, returning July 16–25, 2027! 
 

Recognized as the premier juried plein air competition in the nation, the festival brings 58 juried artists to Talbot County, Maryland, to immerse themselves in outdoor painting and celebrate art created directly from life.
 

Want to compete in 2027? Each year, artists from across the globe apply for the opportunity to be among the 58 juried artists selected to paint outdoors across Talbot County. Selected artists spend a week capturing the beauty of our local landscape while competing for thousands of dollars in prizes, gaining valuable recognition from their peers and the community, and elevating their art careers. If you would like to be considered as a juried artist, we’ll be accepting applications beginning December 1st. Plein Air Easton is a flagship program of the Avalon Foundation.   • Selection: 58 artists will be chosen by our distinguished juror to participate in the July competition.
