What is Plein Air-Easton!?
What is Plein Air-Easton!?
The entry jurist, who selects which artists will contend in the National Competition, is Peter Trippi. Mr. Trippi is editor of Fine Art Connoisseur, a bimonthly magazine that serves collectors of historical and contemporary representational painting, sculpture, drawings, and prints. He is also president of Projects in 19th-Century Art, Inc., the firm he established to pursue a range of research, writing, and curating opportunities.
Hosted by our guest youth host, Summer Snead, we check in with the youngest artists participating in the Festival & pop in to see a little of the Local Color exhibit as well.
A Video Blog to document the rainiest Quick Draw in Plein Air-Easton! history! Don't worry though, it has a happy ending, in spite of the rain, quick draw sales were up and everyone had a memorable time.

To quote Grand Prize Winner, Hui Lai Chong, we are all "exhausted with happiness!" Watch this video to witness the Collectors Party & highlights from the Awards Ceremony, then save the date for 2013's Collectors Party...you will not want to miss it!
The competition is winding down and the artists are hot and tired. At the Academy Art Museum, things are just gearing up with the very first paintings being checked in and the galleries and library getting ready for collectors!
Thank you Volunteers! It takes the full attention of the 9 full time Avalon Foundation staff and the hard work of more than 200 volunteers to make Plein Air-Easton! happen. We couldn't do anything without all of their efforts. We visit with some painters working on nocturnal pieces and the artist's paintable territory moves into Easton.
Let's talk Vanishing Landscapes and Photography Contest and catch up on everything that is coming up for Plein Air-Easton! 2012!
Some lucky Plein Air painters get the opportunity to paint a Billy Bragg concert LIVE and we catch up with a few artists out painting on the street.
Time to stamp the canvases! Why not celebrate with our best supporters, a lavish dinner and a paint out too?
